And when it transcends imagination and enters the realm of reality, Americans are known to, well, "Seas the Day." Naming a beach house is personal. Real personal. As in it's right up there with naming man's best friend. And beach home owners can be a creative bunch. "Just Beachy" a good fit? How about "Sea la Vie?" Or maybe "Once Upon a Tide," or even "Looney Dunes." Along coastal North Carolina, the signs of summer are abundant, with catchy names that project a certain character on the getaways: "Sun kissed" and "Sandy Paws" — dog owners no doubt — and "Knot a Clew" and "Chateau Relaxo" among them. So if you ever latch onto that "beachfront bargain," as HGTV likes to say, you might look to these North Carolina originals for some inspiration. SIGNS OF SUMMER
